There are many production methods for plastic granulation nowadays, among which the extruder water-cooled strip granulation production line is a relatively common production method. Our company has prepared some technology for you so that everyone can quickly identify and implement simple abnormalities and countermeasures when using a water-cooled strip granulation line, in order to quickly restore normal production and reduce losses.
Common abnormalities and solutions are as follows:
- The pellets produced by the extrusion machine’s strip granulation line are too fine or too coarse. The best solution to this situation is usually that the production speed of the plastic extruder used in the production line does not match the cutting speed of the pellets. Therefore, on the premise of achieving the required production capacity, reducing or increasing the speed of the pellet cutter is sufficient.
- The occurrence of particle materials with varying lengths. The speed of the pelletizer is generally constant, so priority should be given to the unstable feeding of the feeding bar. It is necessary to limit the position of the feeding bar to prevent it from swinging left and right.
- The cutting section of the granulation material is uneven. You can adjust the gap between the moving and fixed blades of the cutting to ensure uniformity and consistency.
- The particles are flat. There are generally two reasons for this situation during the production process of the extruder granulation production line, and the abnormality can be solved from two aspects: first, check the temperature of the water cooling water to determine whether it is due to poor water cooling effect that the pull rod material is too soft before entering the granulation. If the water cooling effect is not problem, then adjust the air pressure or spring pressure of the pelletizer and reduce the excessive pressure of the pressure roller.
- The granular material exhibits abnormalities such as sticking and continuous cutting. If the material temperature is too high, we can strengthen the cooling effect of the production line on the pull rod material to solve the problem.
- Frequent breakage of noodles strands. The speed of the granulator may be too fast, so it can be adjusted first to solve the problem. If it cannot be solved, it can be considered that the material has poor plasticization or too many impurities.
If it still cannot be solved, we can only contact relevant professionals to analyze whether the screw of the extruder is suitable for the material, replace the screw or purchase new equipment to solve the problem.
